Paediatric Office

We’re excited to provide specialized pediatric services that prioritize the health and happiness of our community's little ones!

The Paediatric Office on Spetses Island was opened in October 2023 with the generous support of donors and friends of CTS.

We are deeply grateful for their contributions and the impact they have made.

The CTS has committed to offering a 50% discount on services to children on Spetses Island. Your support is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic.

We hope that you will join us in supporting our efforts to provide a safe and caring environment for the children of Spetses.

The psycho-counseling seminars are free of charge and can be attended online.

The seminar presenters are:
Ms. Chrysa Panaki (Social Worker – Psychotherapist) and

Ms. Eleni Giannouli (Psychologist).

1st Topic: Self-Esteem

Wednesday, 15 /10/2025, 17.30pm -19.00pm

Self-esteem is a crucial factor for a child's mental health, as it determines their sense of self-worth, their belief in their ability to achieve their goals, and their capacity to find satisfaction in their accomplishments.

Parents’ expectations and the way they respond to their children's successes and failures are key factors in fostering their child’s self-esteem, helping them manage frustration, and cultivating a positive attitude toward life and their goals.

The aim of this seminar is to provide information on the various factors that influence self-esteem and to highlight the importance of parents’ attitudes in creating a safe environment that supports the healthy psychological and social development of their children.

2nd Topic - Child and Internet

Wendesday, 10/12/2025, 17.00pm - 19.00pm

Technology has now become an integral part of everyday life, both for parents and for children.

Television, computers, tablets, and mobile phones have become firmly embedded in all our lives.

The way we use them—and, correspondingly, the way we introduce them into our children's lives—will determine whether their use will have beneficial or negative effects.

The following group is available:

Children in 4th, 5th & 6th grade of Primary School.

What happens when music meets the body – and the body meets music?

In the workshop “Play, Move, Compose”, children will explore the magical world of movement and sound through games, improvisations, and small creative projects. They will experiment with rhythms, discover how their bodies can produce new sounds and musical phrases, and compose their own short musical ideas to accompany their physical expression.

No prior experience in dance or music is required. All that’s needed is imagination, curiosity, and the joy of play!

The program builds on last year’s music lessons, now enriched by the integration of movement. In this way, children experience how the two arts are not separate but communicate and complement one another.

Through group games, improvisations, and creative activities, we will create small pieces that unite music and movement – a unique mini performance of our own!

At the end of the workshop, the children will share their artistic experience with the island’s community – presenting a result entirely created by themselves.

An educational music program organized within the framework of the A.K.S.S. Music Academy, with the support of Community Trust Spetses.

CULTURE

The Neighbourhood Library

The Street Library was created to bring books closer to everyone. In a time when access to reading and knowledge is more important than ever, we wanted to create a small, open space where books are free to travel – from hand to hand, from heart to heart.

How does it work?

It’s simple:

Take a book. Leave a book. Or just read for a while.

Read: Sit down, flip through a book, take a break.

Take: If something catches your eye, feel free to take the book home –

it’s yours, no cost, no catch.

Leave: Got books at home you no longer need?

Leave them here for someone else to enjoy.

The Street Library is a living space fueled by love, community, and sharing. We like to think that every book left here starts a new journey.

Are you a business owner?

If you own a shop, café, or space that loves the neighborhood and you'd like to host a Street Library outside your business, get in touch with us!

We’ll be happy to help you create your own little reading corner where stories can be shared freely.
